And Now For Something Completely Different...

I am curious.

Things get boring on the treadmill. Between Katie Couric and Wheel of Fortune, my iPod has been getting quite the workout. The radio station playing at the gym is so bad, they play Dust in the Wind by Kansas... not exactly workout music.

So what do you listen to? I'm not looking for types of music. I want you to name and shame specific songs and tracks. They could be old classics, they could be guilty pleasures. Leave me a comment and tell me what motivates you to keep up your pace.

To get you started, here is one of my old standbys:

LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is Playing at My House

Update to come soon on my progress, complete wit witty remarks, and hilarious asides.

I listen to "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas.... on a continuous loop. This doesn't work for you?...

At my gym you can plug into a choice of 10 tvs. So, I listen to whatever is on VH1 or charmed. Depending on my mood. When I lift though, it's a lot of...you guessed it...Tegan and Sara.

Umm... I like The Fratelli's Chelsea Dagger, Foo Fighter's Monket Wrench, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock's It takes Two , A little 80 Madonna, and The Killers' Mr Brightside are my faves.

Also, Nicki's lyrics make so much more sense then what I had in my head...

My gym has classic rock playing so when lifting I just go with it. When I really need distraction is doing cardio, and a good majority of the machines have little LCDs and tuners on them, so I'm typically watching Sportscenter since it's the only things on when I hit the gym at 6 am. If I go after work, I watch whatever game may be on.

I'll be happy to give you a copy of the disco CD my friend Thom made for me for my wedding... Feel the burn baby!
